Martinsburg VA Clinic Transportation Update

There have been some recent changes for transportation for Veterans to the Martinsburg VA Clinic. Due to our insurance considerations, effective March 1, 2010, we will no longer provide out-of-state transportation. However, after checking with the transportation department at the VA Clinic in Martinsburg, we were informed that they have a van that comes to Chambersburg. Therefore, we will provide the transportation from the passenger’s home to Chambersburg where we will meet the VA Martinsburg van which will finish the trip to the appointment. When they return passengers back to Chambersburg, we will connect with them to transport passengers home.

Passengers will still call us to reserve a ride, but now you must also call Steve Queen, Van Coordinator for the Martinsburg VA Clinic at (304)263-0811 ext 3732 or 1-800-817-3807 no later than the Monday before your Thursday or Friday appointment to reserve your seat on their van. You must have a scheduled appointment in order to reserve a ride with them. Friday is the day we normally transport clients to Chambersburg, so passengers will now have an additional day they can travel to the Martinsburg VA Clinic.
