b'INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE New Operations and Administrative Facility rabbittransit is making significant progress on its future Harrisburg operations, maintenance and administration facility. The current site on Cameron Street, originally a trolley barn more than 120 years old, will be replaced with a modern facility that deploys compressed natural gas as an alternative fuel. It will also incorporate a transfer center to operate on a pulse system to allow for timed transfers. The projects design is approximately 60% complete, with an estimated cost of $150 million. rabbittransit purchased adjacent property on Cameron Street, formerly owned by Goodwill Industries. This purchase will aid the projects advancement to the next stages, including the relocation of a local cell tower and demolition of the current site, which is slated for early Spring 2025. West Milton Bus Barn rabbittransit continues the design phase for a facility project in West Milton. The project will include an indoor bus storage facility, operator breakroom and potential bus wash for the fleets of Snyder and Union Counties. On the Horizon: Fare Collection System rabbittransit held an inclusive planning session, inviting riders and partner organizations to explore new cashless payment options. With a goal to make non-cash features more appealing to riders, rabbittransit plans to introduce fare-capping, remote purchases and mobile ticketing. The contract was awarded to Modeshift in Fall 2024, with a launch expected in Spring 2025.'
